For auto repair shops

The customer texts "car making a noise." You're under a different car.

Small repair shops lose work to whoever answers first. Otto answers first: it gets the vehicle, the symptoms, and the story, and hands you a draft estimate to price. The customer approves from their phone, the car gets a slot, and the invoice and payment live in the same tool.

Free during beta. No demo call, no credit card, no contract.

How it works

A repair, start to paid

  1. 1

    The text comes in

"Brakes grinding, can you look at it?" Otto answers in seconds, tells the customer it's an AI assistant for the shop, and starts on the details while your hands stay busy.

  2. 2

    Otto gets the story

Year, make, model, and mileage. What it's doing, when it started, any lights on the dash. Whether they can drop it off or need it towed.

  3. 3

    You diagnose and price it

The diagnosis is still yours, in the bay. Otto's draft gives you the customer and the story. You put the work on the estimate, one line or repair-versus-replace options, and text it back.

  4. 4

    Approved, scheduled, paid

The customer approves and signs from their phone, the car gets a slot on the calendar, and when the work is done you text the pay link. Card or ACH, settled to your Stripe account.

Otto's checklist

It asks what a service writer would ask

Otto works from a checklist you control, set up for repair work:

  • Year, make, model, and mileage
  • What it's doing, in their words
  • When it started, and any warning lights
  • Drivable, or needs a tow
  • Drop-off or waiting appointment
  • Any recent work on the vehicle
  • Name and best contact
  • When they need it back

Everything else your shop runs on.

Three-option estimates

Send one estimate with up to three priced options: the basic, the upgrade, the full package. The customer compares them on their phone, picks one, and signs. That option is what you bill.

Schedule and calendar

Day, week, or month view with every visit assigned to a person or crew. When a customer signs an estimate, the booking happens in the same place. No separate calendar app.

Crew texts

Your techs get their day by text with a link to everything they need for each stop. No morning phone tree, no app to install, no login to forget.

Invoices and deposits

The invoice pulls from what the customer signed, so there's nothing to retype. Collect a deposit up front and bill the rest when the work is done. The deposit shows as a credit on the final bill.

Card and ACH payments

Text the pay link and the customer pays by card or bank transfer. The money goes to your own Stripe account, not ours. Cash or check? Record it and the balance clears.

Clean records for the bookkeeper

Every invoice and payment exports to CSV for any date range. Hand it to your bookkeeper or drop it into a spreadsheet. We're not accounting software, and we don't pretend to be.

Customer records

Every conversation, estimate, and invoice tied to one customer. When they text again in October you can see what they had done in March and what they paid.

Otto, your AI front desk

A customer texts your number and Otto replies in seconds, day or night. It tells them it's an AI, asks the right questions, and drafts the estimate. It never quotes a price. You can jump into any conversation and Otto steps back.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Does Otto diagnose the car?

No, and it doesn't pretend to. It collects what the customer can tell you so the car arrives with a story instead of a shrug. The diagnosis happens where it always has: in your bay.

Does ServCTRL do parts inventory, VIN lookups, or digital inspections?

No. There's no parts catalog, no VIN decoding, and no DVI. If those are central to how you work, a vertical tool like Shopmonkey or Tekmetric fits better. ServCTRL covers the front desk and the money: intake, estimates, scheduling, invoices, payments.

Can I send an estimate the customer approves by phone?

Yes. The estimate goes out as a text link. The customer reads it, picks an option if you offered one, and signs with a typed signature.

What does it cost for a three-person shop?

Same as for anyone: free during beta, then $99 a month flat, up to 15 users. No per-writer or per-tech fees.

Try it free. See if it fits.

No credit card, no demo call, no contract. Your number ports out free if you leave.
