"Cracked screen, how much?" deserves a better answer than silence.
Bench shops live on walk-ins and texts, and the texts come while you're elbow-deep in someone's laptop. Otto answers, gets the device and the problem, and hands you a draft to price. The customer approves, drops it off, and pays from a link when it's ready.

A repair, start to paid
- 1
The text comes in
"Dropped my laptop, screen's cracked." Otto answers in seconds, identifies itself as an AI assistant for the shop, and starts on the details.
- 2
Otto gets the device
What device, make and model, what happened, whether it still powers on, and whether the data matters.
- 3
You price the fix
Otto drafts the estimate. You price it: one line for a screen swap, or options like repair the screen, repair plus battery while it's open, or put the money toward something newer.
- 4
Approved, dropped off, paid
The customer approves from their phone and Otto proposes drop-off times. When it's ready, text the pay link. They pay by card or ACH and pick it up.
It asks what the bench would ask
Otto works from a checklist you control, set up for device repair:
- What device: phone, laptop, desktop, console
- Make and model
- What happened, and what it's doing now
- Does it power on
- Does the data need to survive
- Any passwords or accounts to plan around
- Name and best contact
- How soon they need it
Everything else your shop runs on.
Three-option estimates
Send one estimate with up to three priced options: the basic, the upgrade, the full package. The customer compares them on their phone, picks one, and signs. That option is what you bill.
Learn moreSchedule and calendar
Day, week, or month view with every visit assigned to a person or crew. When a customer signs an estimate, the booking happens in the same place. No separate calendar app.
Crew texts
Your techs get their day by text with a link to everything they need for each stop. No morning phone tree, no app to install, no login to forget.
Invoices and deposits
The invoice pulls from what the customer signed, so there's nothing to retype. Collect a deposit up front and bill the rest when the work is done. The deposit shows as a credit on the final bill.
Card and ACH payments
Text the pay link and the customer pays by card or bank transfer. The money goes to your own Stripe account, not ours. Cash or check? Record it and the balance clears.
Clean records for the bookkeeper
Every invoice and payment exports to CSV for any date range. Hand it to your bookkeeper or drop it into a spreadsheet. We're not accounting software, and we don't pretend to be.
Customer records
Every conversation, estimate, and invoice tied to one customer. When they text again in October you can see what they had done in March and what they paid.
Otto, your AI front desk
A customer texts your number and Otto replies in seconds, day or night. It tells them it's an AI, asks the right questions, and drafts the estimate. It never quotes a price. You can jump into any conversation and Otto steps back.
Learn moreQuestions, answered.
Does Otto quote repair prices?
No. A quoted screen price on the wrong model variant is a refund waiting to happen. Otto collects the device details. You confirm the model and set the price.
Does it do ticketing and repair statuses?
The conversation thread holds every update you send the customer. There's no separate ticket queue with status boards. If you run a high-volume depot, you may want one.
Can customers approve a repair remotely?
Yes. Text the estimate, they read it and sign from their phone. Find something else once you're inside? Send a revised estimate the same way.
What about walk-ins?
Add the customer at the counter, build the estimate on the spot, and text it to them. Everything after that works the same, and their record keeps the history.
