Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2, 2026

These are the terms for using ServCTRL. We've kept them as plain as legal language allows. By using the Service, you agree to them.

1. Definitions

"ServCTRL," "we," and "us" mean the company behind ServCTRL. The "Service" means servctrl.com, app.servctrl.com, and related products. "You" means the person or organization that owns the account. "Your customers" means the people whose records you create inside the Service.

2. Account terms

  • You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for enabling two-factor authentication if you want the extra protection. We can't be liable for losses caused by compromised credentials.
  • You're responsible for all activity under your account, including activity by the technicians and office users you invite.
  • Accounts must be registered by a human. Accounts created by bots or automated methods aren't allowed.
  • You must provide a valid email address and accurate signup information. False information risks suspension.
  • You may not use the Service for any illegal purpose, or to send unsolicited messages. If you enable customer texting, you're responsible for having your customers' consent to be texted, and you must not use it for marketing spam.

3. Payment, refunds, and plan changes

  • During beta, the Service is free. When paid plans launch, continued use beyond any free plan requires payment in advance, billed monthly. There are no contracts and no cancellation fees.
  • Our fees don't include taxes; where we're required to collect them, they'll appear on your bill.
  • Payments you collect from your customers through the Service settle to your own Stripe account. We are not a party to the transaction between you and your customer, and Stripe's own terms apply to your Stripe account.
  • Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy, which is deliberately generous.

4. Cancellation and termination

  • You can cancel your subscription any time from Settings inside the app — no phone call, no retention script. See the Cancellation Policy for the details.
  • When your account is deleted, your content becomes inaccessible immediately and is permanently deleted from active systems within 30 days and from backups within 60 days.
  • Cancelling partway through a billing period stops future charges; the Refund Policy covers when we'll refund the current one.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Abuse or threats toward the people who run ServCTRL — or toward your customers through our Service — is grounds for immediate termination.

5. Changes to the Service and prices

  • We're actively building ServCTRL and may change or improve the Service at any time.
  • Price changes come with at least 30 days' notice by email or in-app notice. Founding beta shops keep the lifetime discount they locked in.

6. Uptime, security, and privacy

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard to keep it fast and reliable, and our Refund Policy describes credits for meaningful downtime, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.
  • We may throttle or disable accounts whose usage vastly exceeds normal use in a way that degrades the Service for others; we'll contact you first whenever we reasonably can.
  • How we handle your data — and your customers' — is governed by our Privacy Policy.
  • We rely on third-party vendors (hosting, payments, SMS, email) to provide the Service.

7. Content ownership and intellectual property

  • You own your data: your customer records, estimates, jobs, invoices, photos, and everything else you put into the Service. We claim no intellectual-property rights over it.
  • We may remove content that is unlawful or violates these terms, though we don't pre-screen content.
  • ServCTRL retains all rights to the Service itself — the design, code, and branding. You may not copy, resell, or exploit any part of the Service without our written permission.

8. Liability

You use ServCTRL at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ServCTRL is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. This is a standard clause; the practical version is that we run the Service carefully, we back up your data, and if something goes wrong we'll work with you to make it right, but a $99/month tool can't underwrite your business.

9. Questions

Email [email protected] and a real person who knows the product will answer.
