Spring hits and everyone's mower breaks the same week.
Small-engine season is a wall of texts: mowers that won't start, generators that surge, a chainsaw that quit mid-cut. Otto answers every one, collects the machine and the symptoms, and hands you drafts to price. You work the bench. The front desk runs itself.
Free during beta. No demo call, no credit card, no contract.
A repair, start to paid
- 1
The text comes in
"Mower won't start, gas is fresh." Otto answers right away, says it's an AI assistant for the shop, and starts asking about the machine.
- 2
Otto gets the machine
Brand and model, engine if they know it, what it's doing or not doing, when it last ran. Whether they'll drop it off or need pickup.
- 3
You price the work
Otto drafts the estimate from the conversation. You price the carb clean, the tune-up, or the repair-versus-replace decision on a tired machine. Otto never quotes a number.
- 4
Approved, fixed, picked up, paid
The customer approves by phone, the drop-off gets a slot, and when it's running you text the pay link. They pay by card or ACH before they even load the trailer.
It asks what the counter would ask
Otto works from a checklist you control, set up for small-engine work:
- What kind of machine: mower, generator, saw, bike
- Brand and model
- What it's doing, or not doing
- When it last ran right
- Fresh fuel or sat all winter
- Drop-off or needs pickup
- Name and best contact
- How soon they need it
Everything else your shop runs on.
Three-option estimates
Send one estimate with up to three priced options: the basic, the upgrade, the full package. The customer compares them on their phone, picks one, and signs. That option is what you bill.
Learn moreSchedule and calendar
Day, week, or month view with every visit assigned to a person or crew. When a customer signs an estimate, the booking happens in the same place. No separate calendar app.
Crew texts
Your techs get their day by text with a link to everything they need for each stop. No morning phone tree, no app to install, no login to forget.
Invoices and deposits
The invoice pulls from what the customer signed, so there's nothing to retype. Collect a deposit up front and bill the rest when the work is done. The deposit shows as a credit on the final bill.
Card and ACH payments
Text the pay link and the customer pays by card or bank transfer. The money goes to your own Stripe account, not ours. Cash or check? Record it and the balance clears.
Clean records for the bookkeeper
Every invoice and payment exports to CSV for any date range. Hand it to your bookkeeper or drop it into a spreadsheet. We're not accounting software, and we don't pretend to be.
Customer records
Every conversation, estimate, and invoice tied to one customer. When they text again in October you can see what they had done in March and what they paid.
Otto, your AI front desk
A customer texts your number and Otto replies in seconds, day or night. It tells them it's an AI, asks the right questions, and drafts the estimate. It never quotes a price. You can jump into any conversation and Otto steps back.
Learn moreQuestions, answered.
Does Otto diagnose the machine?
No. It collects the story so the machine arrives with one. The wrench work and the verdict are yours.
Half my customers would rather call. Does this help?
Calls still ring your phone like always. Otto handles the texts. In season, that's the difference between a front counter and a backlog of unread messages.
Can I quote repair versus replace?
Yes. Put both on one estimate: fix the old machine, or put the money toward the repair-plus-trade you'd actually recommend. The customer picks and signs.
Does it track serial numbers or inventory?
No inventory, no parts catalog. Machine details live on the estimate and the customer record. If you run a dealership with stock, you'll need more than ServCTRL. A repair bench won't.
