Cancellation Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
We want satisfied customers, not hostages. There's no contract, no cancellation fee, and no retention phone call. If ServCTRL stops earning its keep, leaving should take a minute.
How to cancel
On a paid plan, go to Settings → Account in the app and cancel your subscription — it's self-service. During the free beta there's nothing to cancel; if you also want your account and data deleted, email [email protected] and we'll confirm and handle it promptly. If you have any trouble, the same address gets you a person who will sort it out.
What happens when you cancel
Billing stops. Cancelling takes effect right away — you won't be charged again. You keep full access to your account and data through the end of the billing period you've already paid for.
Export first. Before your account is deleted, export what you need: the Accounting page exports every invoice and payment for any date range as CSV, and support will help with a fuller export of your customers and records — just ask.
Deletion timeline. When your account is deleted, your content becomes inaccessible immediately. Within 30 days it's permanently deleted from our active systems, and within 60 days from our backups. After that it cannot be recovered — by you or by us. If you deleted by mistake, contact us as soon as possible.
Refunds. We don't automatically prorate a partial month, but we're not sticklers: if you cancel right after a charge or you haven't been using the account, ask — see the Refund Policy.
Cancellations we initiate
We may close accounts in a few housekeeping situations:
- Accounts frozen for failed billing, 180 days after the failure.
- Free accounts with no sign-ins for 365 days.
- Accounts that violate the Terms of Service, per those terms.
Except for terms violations, we'll email you before closing an account so you have a chance to keep it or export your data.
