Start from the contract
The invoice pulls its lines from the accepted bid and approved change orders. Edit it directly if you need to.

Bill how the job gets paid
Bill it all at once, take a deposit up front, or send a progress draw, which just means billing part of the contract as the work moves along. If the customer holds back part of the bill until the job’s signed off, ServCTRL tracks that too.

Get paid
Send the pay link or text it. The customer pays by card or ACH, it posts against the contract, and the job closes itself out.
Deposits and hold-backs are handled for you
A deposit comes in on its own invoice, then shows on the final bill as a credit line, so it’s never counted twice. Retainage, the part of the bill held back until the job’s signed off, is kept out of what you expect to collect and released with one invoice at the end.
No time tracking, on purpose
The big tools sell time sheets, GPS, and job-costing. ServCTRL skips them. A small shop bills the contract, not a timesheet reconciliation. Less to keep current, less to learn.
Questions, answered.
Is there really no time tracking?
None, and that’s deliberate. Invoices come from the contract, not logged hours. If your billing runs on T&M timesheets, ServCTRL isn’t your tool.
What payment methods work?
Card and ACH through Stripe. Connect it in about five minutes. You can also record a check or cash. The money lands in your own Stripe account.
Can I export to QuickBooks?
You get a date-range CSV of every invoice and payment, ready for your bookkeeper. A direct QuickBooks sync isn’t built yet.
